Nice and calm place with beautiful views. We were helped very well when we realized our appartment did not have a private patio. The next day a new appartment was ready! The pool was a great place to relax and for the evening we can advice you to go have dinner at the restaurant, delicious and affordable! The appartment was pretty basic but comfortable!
We stayed in Certaldo for two weeks, and it couldn't have been any better! This place is paradise, and the apartment is a part of it. Being welcomed by our very friendly and helpful host Jane we checked the beautiful medieval village of Certaldo Alto, which is situated on a hill above the newer built village and a cosy world of it's own with nice restaurants, places to have a good wine and very gentle people making our holiday an outstanding trip. You can reach all of the sites you wish to see (as San Gimignano or Siena) easily by car and afterwards return to your silent home. An absolute highlight was the tower, which can be used by any guests of the house and which offers a dream-like view on the village and the surrounding beautiful landscape. Nothing could have been better, thanks a lot to Jane and her family to make it an unforgettable holiday!
The owner, Irene, was fantastic. When we arrived, she took the time to show us around the village and provide us useful tips and information. She provided us recommendations for our day trips around Tuscany, and even rearranged her schedule to take us on a tour and wine tasting with lunch one of the days. We enjoyed our time in Pergine and hope to come back some day soon!
We had a superb week at Bel Giardino. The house is perfect for those seeking a comfortable retreat in the Tuscan hillside. The house offers lots of space, privacy, a nice garden, swimming pool and an amazing view to top it off. Would definetly recommend.
‘Beautiful villa and superb location. All the equipment you need is present although the BBQ was rather tiny & partly broken. Beautiful & large swimming pool but the water is not heated (although enough solar energy available) which is a pitty in the ‘lower’ season. On top of the hill it can be also quit windy from time to time. All in all , one of our nicest vacation in Tuscany !
My adult family of ten had the most wonderful time at this house and the surrounding area. It was perfect for us in every way. The owner, Fabrizzio, was lovely. Very friendly and helpful and his wine and olive oil was good too. Just one thing. Mosquitoes were about and biting, so take anti bite stuff with you. Would love to re visit this place one day.
Also, Easy Reserve were excellent too. Really easy and responded immediately with any queries I had. So, a big thank you to all.
Really enjoyed staying at Casa Santa Lucia. Views to die for - and SO quiet!
The weather was glorious, so the mosquitoes were a bit too enthusiastic!
The typical Italian decor and furniture - it felt like visiting nonna - was delightful!
We parked on the grass in the garden, but the route there is still a little hair-raising.... not for the nervous driver!
We struggled with the wifi - could send Whatsapp messages but that's about it.
Sehr schönes Haus mit Pool. Gute Ausstattung, jetzt auch eingezäunt und mit Internet. Die Möbel in die Jahre gekommen, aber ok. Die Lage sehr ruhig und abseits, für Ruhe und Wanderungen sehr gut, zu den Städten und Sehenswürdigkeiten schon lange Anfahrt. Zum Haus ca 5 km Schotterpiste. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner erholsamer Urlaub.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Very nice house with pool. Good equipment, now also fenced and with internet. The furniture is in the years, but ok. The location was very quiet and secluded, very good for rest and walks, to the cities and attractions long journey. To the house about 5 km gravel road. Overall, a very nice relaxing holiday.
We stayed for a week at Tenuta Pomona , the villa was absolutely beautiful and of a very high quality, the outside space was great with a superb pizza oven, bbq and gardens with plenty of different seating areas, the only small issue was that the swimming pool was rather cool, and probably could have done with being heated, but this wouldn't deter us from visiting again.
