Die Ferienwohnung liegt postkartenmotiv - like auf einem kleinen Hügel, umgeben von Weinbergen, Olivenhainen und Ackerland. Direkt nebenan ist eine gut besuchte "Bar" wo sehr gut gegessen werden kann. Zum einkaufen nach Castelfiorentino sind es ca. 4km über. Hier empfiehlt sich das Auto.
Die Wohnungen sind sehr großzügig an Fläche ausgelegt. Ausgestattet mit allem notwendigen und sehr sauber. Keine Klimaanlage, brauchte es aber auch nicht obwohl wir tagsüber 35-38°C hatten ist es in der Nacht angenehm abgekühlt.
Küche mit Gasherd, Kühlschrank & Spülmaschine und kleinem Tisch-Backofen.
Achtung: keine Kaffeemaschine, nur Espressokocher für den Gasherd oder Bodum-Presse, kein Wasserkocher, kein "richtiger" Backofen.
Der Ansprechpartner (Lorenzo) war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.
Pool ist sehr sauber und mit Schattenplätzen und genug Liegen ausgestattet.
In Poolnähe gibt es auch einen Holzkohlegrill.
Fazit: Sehr zum empfehlen ! Wir würden die Wohnung wieder buchen.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The holiday apartment is postcard-like on a small hill, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and farmland. Right next door is a busy bar where you can eat very well. For shopping in Castelfiorentino it is about 4km away. The car is recommended here.
The apartments are very spacious in terms of space. Equipped with everything necessary and very clean. No air conditioning, but we didn't need it, even though it was 35-38°C during the day, it cooled down pleasantly at night.
Kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator & dishwasher and small table oven.
Attention: no coffee machine, only espresso maker for the gas stove or Bodum press, no kettle, no "real" oven.
The contact person (Lorenzo) was very friendly and always helpful.
Pool is very clean and has shaded areas and enough loungers.
There is also a charcoal grill near the pool.
Conclusion: Highly recommended! We would book the apartment again.
We stayed for one week at the La Capanna apartment in San Gimignano and it was wonderful. The setting is perfect, just a 10 minute (or less) outside the old city walls, but in vineyard territory so you feel as if you are in the countryside. There is a pool which is shared by the other apartments on the site, but was virtually deserted most of the time we were there, so we had it almost to ourselves. And the family which runs the site are very friendly and helpful. I can well recommend staying there.
The villa was superb, lovely and spacious and very well equipped. Location was beautiful and pool was amazing. The host Beatrice was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
Tutto molto bene, la Signora Paola attenta e disponibile! Pulizia delle zone esterne ed interne molto accurate. Unico suggerimento: sarebbe utile avere una anche piccola zona cucina al piano terra adiacente alla bellissima veranda. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente. Grazie

We had a wonderful stay at Ca De Tonco. The Villa is situated in a remote location up in the Tuscan hills.
The drive to the Villa along the steep and windy gravel track takes a bit of getting used to, but the rewards are considerable, as you find yourself truly secluded without any disturbances once you arrive at Ca De Tonco. I grew to enjoy the drive and there are some stunning views of the valley as you reach the higher ground along the path.
The views from the Villa need to be experienced to be believed. They are both breathtaking and peaceful. The Villa itself has everything you need to enjoy yourself, with a pool, table tennis table, hammock and BBQ available. The size of the Villa was perfect for a family of 4 like ours. Our host Giulia was helpful and friendly and the provision of coal and firefighters for the BBQ was a nice touch.
Florence is around 1 hour 20 minutes away, so were able to enjoy a day out there as a family (we recommend parking at Villa Costanza and getting the tram into Florence). Arezzo is also highly recommended and around 30 minutes drive from the Villa. The higher parts of Arezzo have gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape, and there was a buzzing atmosphere in the town square when we visited on a Friday evening.
There are plenty of supermarkets in the nearby area, including the gigantic Co op. The local ingredients are fantastic, with the watermelon and lemons delicious in August when we visited.
We had an amazing holiday and we would definitely stay again at Ca De Tonco.
Abbiamo trascorso settimana di ferragosto presso questa struttura; 2 famiglie di adulti complessivamente 10 persone e ci siamo trovati veramente bene. Posizione invidiabile, piscina superlativa, casa accogliente e ben attrezzata. Unico neo gli insetti fastidiosi. Punto privilegiato per diverse escursioni nella splendida Toscana è vicina Umbria
