We had a great time and the house was beautiful. The view from all the rooms was amazing. The house had a lovely pool area and the location was close enough to do day trips to the outlying cities. The caretaker, although he didn't speak any English, was very accommodating and helpful. I would recommend future occupants bring an Italian dictionary. Since we had rented a van we had difficulty navigating the road to the house. It is unpaved and very narrow. Once you get to the villa you are amazed by the beauty. However, we had difficulty finding it, even with a GPS. We would however come back again.

Our foursome spent a superb ten days at Il Granaino.
It was July, and even though the outside temperatures climbed during the day, the mornings and nights were cool and comfortable. The AC and stone structure kept the villa’s interior a perfect temperature.
Il Granaino is surrounded by an olive grove and sits high atop a hill, affording lovely views of the Tuscan countryside. There is a large and comfortable living room with many windows that look out on a large and well shaded garden area -- perfect for spending relaxing days and evenings at the villa. Peacocks make themselves at home on the grounds.
Upon our arrival in the area we made a call to Alberto and Sylvia, our hosts. They quickly met us. Sylvia greeted us all with a hug. Alberto has a jovial manner and an infectious smile. We followed them to the villa where a delicious homemade cake, bottle of the local wine, olive oil, and honey awaited us.
Our hosts could not have been more gracious for the entire time of our visit. The villa was so comfortable and well furnished. Alberto shared its history with us. We highly recommend Il Granaino.

Wir haben sehr schöne 2 Wochen in Corte Piccinotti verbracht.Es wa alles genauso wie es beschrieben war.Die Lage war optimal,ruhig,nicht wiet von Lucca.Wenn wir wieder irgendwann in die Toscana fahren ,dann werden wir bestimmt die Corte Piccinotti buchen.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We have spent a lovely two weeks in Corte Piccinotti. Everything was exactly as it was described. The location was perfect, quiet, not far from Lucca. When we eventually go back to Tuscany, we will surely book the Corte Piccinotti again.
