The price for the place seemed very reasonable but in reality the accommodation was very basic. Inadequate crockery and cutlery ie exactly 3 cups/knives etc. for 4, no water glasses etc. There was not a single comfortable place to sit,apart from the small sofa which was the 4th bed and difficult to close up, and so remained open and unusable as a seat. The remainder were uncomfortable metal chairs. The wifi was largly non existent and without the kindness of the gentleman working there who,let us use his privatebwifi we would not have had any meaningful access. This had been a significant factor in our choosing this place but it was rarely working and then so slowly as to be unable to maintain the connection.
There are 5/6 apartments one of which caters for a large house. There is a single washing machine for all of these. In addition all the laundry following change over appears to be done there . This means queuing to do laundry and this is very inconvienient for labarintho as it is on the other site. and means dragging the laundry over and either leaving it or bringing it back.
There are two sites and labirintho is on the smaller. The Swimming pool is on the other which is about 7 minute walk through the field otherwise there is a steep walk down a path and really steep upward walk to the pool taking 10/12 mins.
Despite these issues the general area is lovely. The care taker Massimo was extremely kind and helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

We had a wonderful time. Pornelleto has an old world charm. The walk through an olive grove to and from the pool creates a particular magic. Pornelleto is also close to Cetona, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and is perfectly placed to visit other areas.
The staff at Pornelleto were always helpful and friendly. We certainly hope to return some day.

We really enjoyed the apartment and pool and the location was great. The thing we did not realize is that we were in a small addition onto a big house that was rented by a large group of other people. There was not much in the way of privacy and because the large group spent most of their time outside on the patio (right outside of our window) we did not get any sleep at all. We did not have a table outside to sit at as the photos on the website showed and use of the pool was limited as there were alot of children in it at all times.
The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very handy for cooking and it was nice to have a fridge. Anca (sp?) was wonderful, both a great chef and helpful with hints of things to do and places to eat in the area.
We would probably come back to Pornoletto if we had enough people in our party to rent the whole house, but as far as the apartment attached to it ... not the greatest set up.

I visit Pornelleto in the beginning of August with 5 of my friends. We stayed in appartment Borgo. The apartement was nice, rooms were nice as well, for the price payed. We really missed one nice terase, because the one that is there is very small, dirty and equiped with not very nice plastic chairs and table. Since we were staying in the Borgo, we had to walk cca 7 minutes to the pool, because it was on the other side of the property, which was not mentioned on the web page or before our arrival. It was no problem for us, because we are young, but definitely it is a problem for older guests. The good side is the very nice owner, but unfortunately she did not tell us anything about the region, as she said the first day. The family living on he property was very nice and as well the dinner, they cooked for us one night was very delicious. I reccomend this property, but better choice is definitely Alari appartments. The location of the villa is just perfect, and the nearby villages Cetona and Chiusi are amazing, with no turists. Peruggia, Sienna and all the other nice villages and cities are very near.

wij waren tevreden over het huisje, zeker de ligging was erg mooi en rustig. Jammer genoeg was het restaurant niet open waardoor je toch enigszins geisoleerd zat. Omdat er verder nog niet zoveel gasten waren, hadden we het hele domein en zwembad voor onszelf, wat een luxe was. Ik kan me voorstellen dat het minder prettig is als er teveel gasten zijn: die moeten nl steeds door je "tuin" om naar het zwembad te gaan. Wat ik wel jammer vond is dat het lastig was om de eigenaresse vast te krijgen; voor dingen als nieuw linnen en handdoeken was dit soms niet fijn en vond ik haar niet echt betrokken of geinteresseerd. Zeker omdat wij de enige gasten waren, hadden we dit wel verwacht op zo'n kleinschalig domein. Maar het was zeker goed vertoeven daar voor de prijs, we waren er met ons zoontje en ondanks dat het huisje kein was, toch prima te doen.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We were happy with the house, especially the location was very nice and quiet. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open so you are somewhat isolated. Because there were not many guests yet, we had the whole area and pool to ourselves, what a luxury. I can imagine that it is less pleasant if there are too many guests, who will need to walk thourgh your "garden" to go to the pool. It was difficult to get hold of the owner which was a pity, just to determiner things like new linen and towels - sometimes it was not nice and I found her not really involved or interested. Especially because we were the only guests, we expected this at such a s small residence. But it is certainly a good place for the price, we were with our son and even though the house was small, it was doable.
