Palazzo Roasadi is a great place for a group of friends. The garden / lawn was meticulously kept. Beautiful flowers, outdoor gathering areas. Fantastic view of the valley below and Monterchi. Family owned since 1700's. Painstakingly restored to give you a glimpse of Tuscan life. You can tell the family is proud of the home and their heritage.
Owner was there every morning to help with any questions we had. Arranged bicycles for us (they were delivered, fit to us and picked up when we were finished). Helped us with places to go (best Tuscan towns in the area), restaurant reservations, places to find food, etc. Owner's father cooked us a fantastic welcoming "Tuscan" dinner (complete with wine). Gave us history of the house, history of the area, etc.
Grounds were excellent. At the top of a hill in a small village. Great area to run, hike, walk or bike nearby. Our group travels one or twice per year together and we were very lucky to have found Palazzo Rosadi! We typically do not return to the same area each year, but if we did, we would definitely return to Palazzo Rosadi! Locals were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had a wonderful vacation! This property was set on the top of hill which gave you privacy and excellent veiws of the countryside. Pool was excellent and very much enjoyed by the kids. Tuscanny is a stunning place to visit, people are very friendly and it is an easy place to get around (Car hire is a must for this villa). Will definately come back to the area again. Richard B. This villa is very small, but beautifully formed! It has all the essential things you need, including kitchen area with fridge, microwave and oven. The location is fantastic, with the views over the Tuscan countryside from the pool and the main bedroom being second to none! A car is definitely needed for the visits to the hilltop villages, and the closest restaurant Antico Desco is highly recommended. I would highly recommend this villa, but if you're wanting it to be completely without anyone close by you might be disappointed as it's on the same site as the vineyard house but that caused absolutely no problems whatsoever as the owners were on hand to help with anything we needed. Don't be put off by the cars in the driveway as you approach, they're vineyard workers who aren't around during the day at all, but neither will you be with so much to explore! Take your own beach towels though as the ones provided aren't really suitable for outdoors. The pool is very cold, but with the beautiful views surrounding it, who cares! Highly, highly recommended. Great second floor covered patio with 40 mile view. Good central location.

The house was perfect for the group. Four bedrooms with 5 beds worked out great as most of the people were single. The facilities were charming, clean and sufficient. The owners provided a booklet of information on local restaurants, train schedules and area interests. It was most helpful. The villa was ideally located for travelling in the Tuscany region. We were only ~ 20 minutes from the autostrada. You do need a car though.

This is a very relaxing, beatiful place.The photos didn't do it juctice.
The garden is huge and very well maintained.
The owners take great pride in this villa and it shows.
In my opinion it is the right size for a couple but no more.
Be prepared for the journey to the top of the mounatin to get to the villa but if isolation, quiet and gorgeous views are what you are after yo have come to the right place.¿Recomendaría esta propiedad a un amigo? Sí

Calcinaio has been beautifully and artfully restored and we had a very comfortable stay. Home-made jam, a bottle of wine and a magnificent bowl of tomatoes awaited us on arrival. There is a little traffic noise and the driveways take a bit of manouvering but the quality of the property overrides all of this. Turn the fountain on and relax out by the pool with a good drink!

Superb little rustic villa on hill top. Panoramic wonderful views of surrounding hills and San Gimi, from bedrooms and from pool. Excellent location, few Km from San Gimi and easy to get to other nearby towns. Very friendly and helpful owners. There if you needed them but left you alone if you didn't. We had a wonderful time and would consider booking the villa again.

This is a well kept villa, in a stunningly beautiful area with an excellent private swimming pool. The owners are friendly and unobtrusive, the local town/city of Volterra is as good as it gets and the property is within an hour of Pisa, Florence and Siena - if you can drag yourself away from the pool!
