We were three families with three small children renting the property for 6 nights. The bedrooms were nice, but the common areas (living room, kitchen) were quite small and felt crowded all the time.
We enjoyed the swimming pool, but we had to pay attention to the pavement around it which got very slippery when wet, quite dangerous four the two toddlers we had with us.

The villa was spacious, beautifully appointed, and more than adequately equipped. It is in an outstanding location amongst vineyards and olive groves. The views from the villa complex are absolutely breath-taking and the tranquility of it's location is balm to the soul. The pool area is very modern and pristine; indeed the whole complex is immaculately maintained. The nearest town, Castellina in Chianti is only 8 kilometres distance, and has a convenient supermarket, lovely delis, a famous gelateria, and numerous quality restaurants, wine tasting venues and bars - altogether a lovely and historical hill top town.

The logistical arrangements for checking in and out of the villa were seamless and simple, and the directions for initially finding it's location quite simple to follow. Unfortunately, we were not warned that the villa was on a hill at the end of a 1 kilometre "white road!! White roads are basically stone tracks. Had we known, we would have hired a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

In all, we absolutely loved this holiday. From the villa we had easy access to Florence, Pisa, Sienna, and many surrounding picturesque villages. The food, the wine, and the general atmosphere of this region was magic, and I would heartily recommend it and Casalta di Pesa for a truly memorable holiday.
