The Etruscan town of Cortona in Tuscany and the village of Trestina in Umbria are both about 18 km away, while restaurants and small shops for basic necessities can be reached within 5 or 10 km.
You can spend your holiday days bathing in the swimming pool (size 6 x 12 m - depth 1.20-2.40 m, completely fenced in - open from 01st May to 30th September), playing table tennis and enjoying tasty lunches and dinners in the cool gazebo furnished with tables and chairs next to the barbecue and wood-burning oven. Even the youngest children will have fun on the swing and slide.
Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).
The house is well furnished with Tuscan style furniture. Possibility to taste and buy excellent extra virgin olive oil and other typical products. Casa La Primula is a farmhouse situated on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, in an extremely panoramic position with an evocative view of Pierle Castle, an ancient fortress of feudal origin, which makes it as if suspended in time. It takes a little effort to get up here, the 2.5 km road is almost all unpaved and very steep (not recommended for sports cars), but once on spot you will be rewarded with true peace in the middle of nature and above all with an exceptional view. When you want to emerge from your refuge, about 5 km away you will find the villages of Mercatale, in Tuscany, and Lisciano Niccone, in Umbria. We recommend a day trip to the characteristic Cortona, which can be reached in about 20 minutes by car.
In the gazebo in the garden you can dine in front of the sunset; for your barbecues or pizzas in company there are also a barbecue and a wood-burning oven. The fence makes the house ideal for a holiday with your four-legged friends (extra charge could be required). For both of you there is plenty of space in the green and the possibility, for those who love trekking, of long walks along the numerous paths in the woods. The swimming pool is private and reserved for your exclusive use (size 5x10 m. - depth 1,20 - 2,30 m., completely fenced - open from 15th May to 30th September).
Besides the view, you'll love the simplicity of Casa La Primula, the rustic Tuscan style furniture and the facilities guarantee all the comforts and at the same time take you back to the rural traditions of times gone by.
You can also ask Mirko, the owner, for a little shopping, and he will make sure you get your favourite food the evening of your arrival. Mirko has a passion for cooking and has obtained the qualification of Agrichef, and will be happy to cook typical Tuscan dishes for you with the genuine products of his company or of other local companies. Also materials for roof and floor are handmade in Tuscany. Certainly modernity is not forgotten. The value of the structure does not derive only from the high quality of the materials and from many comforts, but also from its location: in fact, on an area from where we can enjoy an unique view of the Alpi Apuane (the marble mountains), the Rocca Ariostesca in the centre of Castelnuovo, reachable walking on a shaded road, the Monte Alfonso and its fortress (that is part of the natural park of the Alpi Apuane) and finally the Appennino. In the river Serchio Valley we can see the Villetta bridge, one of the highest rail bridge of Italy. On the left we can admire the Pania della Croce, while on the right the beautiful "Pania di Corfino", a rocky group on which there is the Orecchiella Park, and at the far end the pass of the Radici inside the Appennino Park that, when snowy in winter, is a incredible sight. The area offers the possibility to practise many sports (trekking, golf, mountain bike, horse riding, in addition of the near tennis courts and soccer fields). Also other outdoor activities are available for a complete relaxation.
A little farer than twenty kilometres there are the Bagni di Lucca baths, already famous at the roman age, where there are particular kind of warm and healthy waters and mud. Many Tuscan tourist resorts are easily reachable: art and historic towns like Lucca, Pisa, Firenze are close to the Villa. Less than an hour is needed to reach the Versilia seaside, while in winter there are many locations where we can go skiing (Careggine, Casone di Profecchia, Abetone, Radici e Val di Luce).
PARK: The Villa lies in a wonderful garden of about 4.066 square yards, confines with the wood at one side and has a fence all around with an entrance equipped by an automated gate and divided in two: one for cars and a second for persons.

The pool, from where you can see a wonderful sight, is 14 X 6 meters and constantly deep 1,50 meter .+ Hydro massage area of 90 cm. depth. about. There are four positions for water message and is equipped by garden furniture like easy chairs and beds for sun baths.

The OWNER lives about 2 km from the villa, so he is available for any need of the renters. From Cortona to the farmhouse the road is perhaps a little long, even though it is all paved. But once you are there you will be rewarded with the absolute tranquillity of the place.
In our opinion Casale Aiola is definitely suitable for groups of families with children. The large green space around the house is perfect for the little ones to run and play in the middle of nature. Also available, in front of the house, is a children's swimming pool (size m. 4x8 - depth 0.60 m. - open from 15 May to 30th September), table tennis, table football, children's games and a bowling green. Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).
For adults and children there is a large private swimming pool (size 9x16 m. -depth 1,20 m. completely fenced - open from 15 May to 30th September) with bathroom with shower and a small gazebo with fridge to cool down on hot summer days and the tennis court.

You will find it nestled between the cities of Arezzo and Castiglion Fiorentino, and its location will offer you countless possibilities for visiting museums, monuments or simply for shopping in the centre of Arezzo.
In Arezzo, to which we advise you to dedicate at least one day, you will find a marvellous historic centre, made up of cobbled alleyways and ancient buildings, some of which date back to the Medieval period, as well as designer shops and typical restaurants and cafés, where you can spend an afternoon or a lazy summer evening. Just 4 km away is also the Arezzo Equestrian Centre where internationally renowned equestrian events are held throughout the year.
The beautiful panoramic swimming pool (size 5x10 m, depth 0.90-1.80 m - open from 01st May to 30th September) was built on a large green terrace, just a few metres from the house. In the completely enclosed garden, your children can play freely in absolute tranquillity in the shade of the olive trees and century-old trees, while you, by the side of the pool, can enjoy the sun while admiring the fantastic panorama of the valley below. For the little ones' playtime there is also a playhouse in a tree.
At the back of the house you will have at your disposal, for dinners or lunches in the open air, a comfortable equipped area, wood-burning oven and barbecue, where you can enjoy your meals in company.

Villa Cerretalta is in a wonderful position on a small hill surrounded by Brunello vineyards, within the national park of Val D'Orcia. The 7 bedroom, 6 bath property is set between the cities of Montalcino and San Quirico D'Orcia (both are about 10 km away), yet in few minutes you can reach the little town of Torrenieri (5 km) where you can find the nearest shops, supermarket and restaurants.
The owner occasionally uses the independent building nearby and whilst respecting your privacy will be at your disposal if you should need any help.
Cerretalta is completely surrounded by hedges and fences to guarantee total privacy. Nonetheless, you have a wonderful sight over the countryside.
Once you enter the gateway, there is a large courtyard plenty of tables and chairs at guests’ disposal as well as the brick barbeque. Across the court there is a lovely area with a big round stone table and matching benches sheltered from the sun by a pergola. Here there is also a second way out from the property, down a stone staircase and through a small iron gate.
There are two garden areas.
The first one is bordered by mature trees, should the guests enjoy a peaceful shady lawn, and it is situated next to a white travertine floored space with tables, chairs and parasol. This is the perfect location where you can have your meals, while taking in the beautiful view over the surrounding farmland.
From here, few stone steps lead to the second garden that is located near the poolside. A small gate possibly delimits the way so as to prevent little children from reaching the swimming-pool area without permission. Some fruit trees, flowers and shrubs brighten the place and there is also a gazebo with table and chairs. An extensive hedge marks the limits of the patch.

The history of the farmhouse is also fascinating. In ancient times, the Valdichiana was a swamp and before the land reclamation took place, its waters lapped the land of the property and just a few steps from the house there was a small harbour for boats that connected by water to the surrounding villages.
Today the villa is part of a farm that includes vineyards, cereal crops, farmyard animals and beautiful horses. About 1 km away, at the owners' residence, you will be able to enjoy the organic produce from their vegetable garden free of charge. Their paddocks, should you travel with your horses, will be at your disposal (service available for a fee).
Around the villa, you will enjoy a large, completely fenced green space perfect for your morning or evening walks even with your four-legged friends. Inside the park there is also a woodland path (approx. 500 m) where you can relax, walk and organise cool snacks.
