This villa, dating back to the 19th century, has been recently restored and turned into a welcoming country house offering tastefully furnished interiors. The location is quiet and panoramic with extensive views over the surrounding landscape. Outside guests may use a nice well-groomed garden, a beautiful private swimming-pool, a solarium area and a covered terrace. This property is entirely fenced-in and the pool area is surrounded by an additional enclosure.
The access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road suitable to any cars.
Distances: Camucia with general stores and railway station 6 km away, Cortona 10 km, Lake Trasimeno 15 km away, Montepulciano 27 km, Pienza 35 km away, Perugia 45 km, Siena 75 km away, the charming town of Orvieto 86 km away, Todi 90 km, Florence 105 km away.
At guests’ disposal: large 2000-square-meter entirely fenced-in garden, private, fenced-in swimming-pool (10 x 5 m – min. depth 1,2 m – max. depth 2,5 m – open from 01/05 to 30/09), open-air shower (cold water), gazebo and solarium area by the pool, big barbecue. The villa also provides a nice covered veranda (accessible from the kitchen) ideal for al-fresco dining. Washing-machine available.

Extra Services: 2 baby beds available upon request (€ 20,- / per week / each to be paid locally). Maid service by arrangement (€ 12,- / per hour – payment on the spot). Pool towels available (€ 2- / each to be paid on the spot).

3 steps lower: living-room (satellite TV) with fireplace, bathroom with shower, large well-stocked kitchen (oven, freezer, dishwasher, wine cellar), wooden stove and dining table. From the living-room access on to a nice covered furnished veranda ideal for al-fresco dining.
1st floor: 2 double bedrooms (one with air-conditioning), bathroom with shower, double bedroom (air-conditioning with ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi shower.
The first floor is also accessible via an external staircase.

Excelente Detalles de la ValoraciónWe thoroughly enjoyed our week at Poggio Del Sole. Our family of 6 swam in the beautiful pool to cool down after our day trips around Tuscany. Looking out our bedroom window at the hillside town of Cortona was amazing. It was perfectly situated in the country side and for visits to Florence, Sienna, Cortona and the lake. The WiFi worked best out on the back patio. When following directions to get there the stone house (after which you turn left) is on the left hand side of the road and remember to bear right on the white road. We would highly recommend this beautifull villa but keep in mind only two of the three bedrooms have air conditioning. Our thanks to Alberto, our housecleaner and Hank for our wonderful holiday under the Tuscan sun.

Excelente Detalles de la ValoraciónWe had a very relaxing stay at this Villa. The pictures do not do the Villa justice - very modern, good size rooms, great pool and BBQ area and good location being only a few km from Cortona. Also the staff / owners were very helpful and professional. I would recommend staying here to everyone!
