Beside an attractive 15th century mansion, presently occupied by the owners, is Casa Stoppa, a pretty, stone house which was originally the stables for horses and carts. Careful and clever restoration work, directly supervised by the owner has divided the old building into two comfortable apartments. The house is at 650 meters above sea level in a panoramic position with a beautiful view over the picturesque Casentino valley and the legendary castle of Poppi. A few minutes' drive away is Pratovecchio, one of the most interesting towns in the valley, the old parish churches of Romena and S.Maria a Poppiena can be visited as can the castles of Romena and Porcino, or you can venture on one of the many nature trips around the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests. The two apartments have a large, well-cared for garden, full of roses and other flowers and equipped with outdoor furniture, as well as a swimming pool of 5x10 meters (depth 1,00 m.) situated in a panoramic position and to be shared occasionally with the owner. The internal fittings of the apartments are of a good standard as is the furniture.
