My husband and I loved our stay at Borgo Tollena unit Signoria Vittoria. The accomodations were beautiful, very comfortable and most important, the people were very helpful, warm and friendly. A few days, we walked from the villa into San Gimignano, which we truly enjoyed. It was about a 30 minute walk and the views were gorgeous. We also recommend the dinner(s) at the property. They were delicious and we enjoyed the opportunity to talk to other people staying there. We would love to come back.

We rented this unit for ourselves and our nephew and niece who were traveling with us. We were looking for a comfortable space with adequate privacy, as well as convenience to local sites. This place was perfect.
First, the host and hostess, Luigi and Silvia, are delightful. They were friends by the end of our week. The farm is just two minutes from San Gimignano, and located conveniently for easy access to Volterra, Siena, Florence and beyond. The setting is great--vineyards and olive groves, a great patio, a pool (too cool to use while we were there, but lovely).
If you like cats the place is great, because there is a large family of kitties. They never got in the way.
Make sure you visit the wine shop in San Gimignano or Volterra that is run by Podere la Marronaia.

We stayed for one week at Le Rondini (Pogetto di Montese).
The initial impression is quite stunning as the property has an amazing picture postcard view of San Gimignano. The actual property is very typical Tuscan - not luxurious by any means but quite comfortable. The living room area is detached from the bedroom/kitchen and we found this quite inconvenient so did not really use it that much. The shower room is a bit cramped and a bit dim (could do with some new lighting).The owners were very friendly and if you stay here earlier in the year you can take advantage of the vegetable garden.The overall impression is one of tranquility and we loved the location but would have preferred something a little more modern. It is situated quite some distance from the town of San Gimignano and so a car is essential.¿Recomendaría esta propiedad a un amigo? Sí

This is by far the best place we have stayed in during our visits to Tuscaany. It is wonderfully restored with great views and perfectly located for day trips Siena and Florence. I would highly recommend a home cooked meal...ours was excellent. Simonetta speaks excellent English and is very helpful.

Excellent location with easy access to other towns and local infrastructure and shops. Car necessary. Owner's dogs are friendly but get up (ie bark) very very early (in hunting season I'm told). Friendly and helpful owners. Great cooking leason and subsequent dining with the family of the owners. The property lived up to expectations.

We stayed in ap. Limoni, cosy and confortable, even for 4 persons. All the facilities present. Very beautiful and relaxing property. Close enough to Florence to can manage even without a car. The owner, Mr. Simone, a very nice person, discrete and helpfull.

We enjoyed our stay at this villa. The owner was very friendly bringing us freshly squeezed olive oil, basil, and fresh tomatoes from her garden. This is a 3 bedroom villa with two king beds. The problem with one of the king room is that it is up a spiral stairs with no bathroom. This room is only for the young but not kids. One of the bathrooms was quite large but the other one small. The villa has a washing machine but no dryer which is common for Italy. We enjoyed this villa and definitely would recommend it to others.

We enjoyed a full week with friends at Il Sogno during September of 2010. Our apartment was lovely and spacious with stunning views of the villa and the Tuscan hills from every window. We cooked in the well-appointed kitchen, dined and read outside on our private patio, and swam in the pool that overlooks the grapevines. Several mornings, we joined the bed & breakfast guests for the morning meal, and one day sat on an outside terrace for an amazing wine-tasting lunch. We walked every day on the quiet back road to nearby San Gimignano, where there is much history, many shops and incredible food.
The young owners of Il Sogno were gracious and welcoming. We had many conversations with them as we learned about the restoration of the property, the extensive remodeling of the buildings, and the grape and olive harvest. They truly shared their dream with us.
