Palazzo Rosadi is a beautiful villa on an incredible property with an excellent pool, great views of the Tuscan countryside, flowers, and well-kept grounds. The owner takes personal care to ensure that everything is set up in the best way. We had 5 small children in our group, and we had cribs, bed rails, high chairs, and everything else needed to make it a great stay. We loved the location - close and convenient to Monterchi but very secluded. I would love to stay there again.

Hallo, wij hebben in augustus 2011 twee weken in het blauwe huisje gezeten. Het weer was gedurende deze twee weken boven de 30 graden dagelijks. La Marronaia ligt ongeveer 2 km buiten het gezellige San Gimignano, het is daar Toscane op zijn best. Het is heerlijk plattelandsleven tussen de wijn- en olijfgaarden. De huisjes zijn ruim, en doelmatig ingericht. Er zijn maar drie appartementen, dus het is rustig. Er is een groot zwembad voor de nodige verkoeling. Ieder huisje heeft daarnaast buitenmeubilair. De Italiaanse eigenaren Silvia en Luigi wonen boven de appartementen met hun gezin, 2 honden en 13 katten. Ze zijn echt zeer gastvrij, we voelden ons er zeer welkom en thuis.

San Gimignano is niet alleen een leuke stad, maar een prima uitvalsbasis voor dagtochten naar Siena, Florence, Volterra, Lucca/Pisa, Chianti Classico streek en Montepulciano/Montalcino. Voorzieningen San Gimignano verder prima, ook aantal zeer goede restaurants en de wereldkampioen ijs maken, voor grotere supermarkten (SuperCoop, PAM) kun je in het nabije Poggibonsi terecht.

Als aandachtspunten willen wij meegeven dat je a. van buitenleven moet houden (en katten:) b. lopen naar San Gimignano is net te ver, let wel op dat parkeren in het dorpje een uitdaging is en c. als je in augustus gaat pas je programma aan op de warmte.
Wat absoluut een aanrader is zijn de wijnen van La Marronaia, die moet je echt proberen!

Conclusie: een zeer goede vakantie, wij zouden hier zeker nog een keer naar toe gaan.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Hello, we have stayed two weeks in August 2011 in the BLUE house. The temperature during these two weeks was over 30°C every day. La Marronaia is located about 2 km outside the charming town San Gimignano, Tuscany where it's at its best. It's lovely rural life among the vineyards and olive groves. The houses are spacious with practical furnishings. There are only three apartments, so it is quiet. There is a large swimming pool for the necessary cooling. Each cottage also has outdoor furniture. Silvia and Luigi, the Italian owners, live above the apartment with their family, two dogs and 13 cats. They are really very hospitable, we felt very welcome and at home.

San Gimignano is not just a nice town, but a good base for day trips to Siena, Florence, Volterra, Lucca / Pisa, Chianti Classico region, Montepulciano / Montalcino. The facilities in San Gimignano also fine, even some very good restaurants and world champion ice cream makers, you can find larger supermarkets (super-scoop, PAM) in nearby Poggibonsi.

As points of attention we would like to say: 1) you need to like the outdoor life (and cats) 2) walk to San Gimignano is just a little too far, please note that parking in the village is challenging and 3) adjust your program according to the the heat if travveling in summer.
What we definitely recommend are the wines of La Marronaia- you should really try!

Conclusion: a very good holiday, we would definitely return.

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung mit vielen Extras, wie z.B. Mückenschutznetze, Spülmaschine,Freisprechanlage, sehr schöne Badezimmer etc.
In der Ferienanlage befinden sich mehrere Sitzgelegenheiten, ein Fußballfeld (im Moment noch, zukünftig soll hier ein weiterer Pool enstehen), ein Grillplatz, ein gesicherter Parkplatz und ein schön angelegter Pool mit Sprungbrett. Der Pool hat zwei unterschiedliche Tiefen: 1,30m und 2.50m.
Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in einem kleinen Dorf, nah an der Dorfkirche und 50m entfernt von einem kleinen Dorf-Lebensmittelladen, der neben frischem Brot, Wurst und Käse auch diverse andere Haushaltswaren beinhaltet.
In dem Dorf gibt es noch eine kleine Post, einen weiteren Lebensmittelladen, einen kleinen Fleischer, zwei oder drei Pizzerien und am Rande ein Cafe mit leckeren Keksen, Kuchen, Kaffee und Eis.
Die Lage des Dorfes ist sehr gut. Man ist in 15 Minuten in Lucca, in 20 Minuten in Pisa und in einer Stunde in Florenz.
Die Besitzer der Ferienwohnung wohnen auf dem Grundstück, aber in einem separatem Haus. Sie sind nett und freundlich, aber nicht immer präsent.
Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und würden es immer weiterempfehlen.

Beautiful apartment with lots of extras, such as mosquito nets, dish washer, speakerphone, very nice bathrooms, etc.
In the resort there are several seating areas, a soccer field (in the future here an additional pool will be constructed), a barbecue area, a secure parking and a beautifully located pool with springboard. The pool has two different depths: 1.30m and 2.50m.
The apartment is located in a small village, close to the village church and 50m away from a small grocery store, where together with the fresh bread,
sausage and cheese you can find various other household goods.
In the village there is also a small post office, another grocery store, a small butcher, two or three pizzerias and in the "outskirts" a café with delicious biscuits, cakes, coffee and ice.
The location of the village is very good: In 15 minutes driving you reach Lucca, in 20 minutes Pisa and in one hour Florence.
The owners of rental property live nearby, in a separate house. They are nice and friendly, but not always present.
We felt very comfortable here and would always recommend it.

Prachtig gelegen Borgo, in de mooie heuvels rond Cortona. Uitzicht is zowel overdag als in de avond adembenemend mooi. Huis is goed ingericht en de ontvangst en begeleiding tijdens het verblijf door de eigenaren is zeer prettig. Bovendien smaakt de eigen "huis"wijn uitstekend. De omgeving leent zich bij uitstek tot het maken van trips en stedenbezoek: vooral de kleinere stadjes en dorpjes zijn zeker de moeite van een bezoek waard. Een aanrader!

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Beautifully situated Borgo in the amazing hills surrounding Cortona. The view both is breathtaking both during the days as also during the evening. The house is well decorated and the reception and support during the stay by the owner is very nice. Moreover the "house" wine has an excellent taste. The area lends itself perfectly formaking trips and visiting cities: especially the smaller towns and villages are well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Casa Pomegranate 105.2 is een gezellig klein huisje op het domein 'Melograno' met nog andere 3 of 4 vakantieverblijven (ongeveer 20 slaapplaatsen in totaal denk ik). Het staat huisje apart van de andere verblijven en heeft een eigen terras en is heel rustig gelegen. Het jhuisje wordt heel netjes onderhouden en is sober maar smaakvol ingericht.
De concierge Mara woont ter plaatse, is een heel attente Italiaanse dame (spreekt uitsluitend italiaans) en brengt de gasten regelmatig verse eitjes, tomaten, ... uit de eigen tuin.
Het gemeenschappelijk zwembad is groot genoeg en zeer goed onderhouden.
De zandweg naar Casa Pomegranate 102.5 is slecht gedeeltelijk te vinden met de TomTom, maar met de instructies op de voucher is het domein 'Melograno'wel goed te vinden.
Chiusi Scalo is een heel geschikte verblijfplaats om heel wat dorpen en steden in Toscane en Umbrië te verkennen.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Casa 105.2 Pomegranate is a cozy little cottage on the estate "Melograno" with other 3 or 4 cottages (about 20 beds in total I think). The house stands apart from other units and has a private terrace and is very quiet. It is very well maintained and simple but tastefully decorated.
Mara the caretaker lives on site, she is a very thoughtful Italian lady (speaks only Italian), and regularly brings the guests fresh eggs, tomatoes, ... from her own garden.
The communal pool is large enough and well maintained.
The dirt road to Casa 102.5 Pomegranate is only partially available with the TomTom, but with the instructions on the voucher the "Melograno" is easy to find.
Chiusi Scalo is a very suitable place to discover many villages and towns in Tuscany and Umbria.

We loved Villa San Filippo. It was even better than the pictures suggested...it's set well back from any main roads, so you feel like you are secluded in the country, yet it's only 10 min drive to Montalcino. Le Coste was fantastic....perfect for our needs. The wines of SF are excellent...we had a very good tour and ended up buying some bottles. We will definitely be going back there again.

Excellent service by Easy Reserve and a wonderful destination and stay had in the Castle. In total there were 11 in the family who stayed in 4 different rooms (all which were terrific), and all agreed what a super time had been had by all.
The views, weather, swimming pool, locality, gardens and history of the place was just amazing, the restaurant was also excellent.
A total score of 10 / 10 was agreed by all for the trip and we will defintely return in the very near future.

We hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad. Het huis ( melograno 4) was prima. Schoon en van alles voorzien. Wasmachine, ventilatoren enz. Het zwembad is prachtig met voldoende lekkere stoelen( nou hadden we het geluk dat we de tweede week geheel alleen waren. Locatie is prachtig gelegen, mooi uitzicht, rust en zeer schoon. 5 minuten rijden naar lucca 20 minuten naar het strand, top!

Washing machine, fans, etc. The pool is wonderful with plenty of good seats (well we were lucky that we were the second week alone). Location is superb, nice view, quiet and very clean. 5 minutes drive from Lucca to 20 minutes beach, great!
