C'était notre premier grand voyage en Italie et plus particulièrement en Toscane en famille. Nous n'avons pas été déçu la région est extraordinaire, à visiter au moins une fois dans sa vie. Mais on attendait à cela avec la renommée de certaines villes telles que Florence , Pise… Par contre Lucques est une très belle découverte. C’est un site à visiter absolument avec ses différents aspects historiques et contemporains : l'art, l'Histoire et gastronomie. We were not disappointed, the region is extraordinary, to visit at least once in a lifetime. But we expected this with the fame of some cities such as Florence, Pisa... On the other hand Lucca is a very beautiful discovery. It is a site to visit absolutely with its various historical and contemporary aspects: art, history and gastronomy.

3.5 stars. We were a group of 13 visiting the Cortona area and we stayed at Case Santánna for two weeks. There are pros and cons of every place you may stay so I'm summarizing for those who don't like long reviews: * The apartments upstairs have issues with plumbing. Bathrooms leak and kitchens don't fully operate. * The owner lives on the property site in a house next to the villa. * The pool and hot tub is kept up nicely by owner every morning * It is very remote. Don't think about staying here without a car. You won't get a cab, uber or any other car service. * All of the bedrooms are spacious and clean * All but one of the main house bathroom showers had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. * Plenty of dishes, pots, pans, etc. in the kitchen * Internet is spotty. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's a satellite connection. * The owner was very gracious and didn't seem to mind our late night gatherings outside. * Highly recommend Tuklu nearby for food although it's only open 2 or 3 nights during the week. * Grocery stores are about 3km away and easy to get to with car. * Plenty of parking for cards * Owner arranged a nice dinner prepared by a local cook. It was great! * You will be using Google translate to communicate with the owner.

Wir waren zu viert und haben eine perfekte Woche in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbracht. So geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Der Pool wurde regelmäßig gesäubert, die Anlage und das Haus ist bestens gepflegt. Wir kommen gerne wieder! [English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] There were four of us and we spent a perfect week in this beautiful house. So tastefully decorated, with great attention to detail. The pool was cleaned regularly, the grounds and the house are well maintained. We would love to come back again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Casa Dell'ambasciatore! Beautiful property in a wonderful quiet location. Everyone we met, from the owners to management were friendly and helpful and informative. Without question I would stay here again on my next visit to the Tuscany region of Italy.

First of all, I have to say that we, as a group of four adults, two kids and a small dog, really enjoyed our stay at La Fragola. The main benefits of the villa are privacy, the size of the area, a large and really nice pool, an outdoor grill and seating area, serenity and hospitality of the villa manager – Deborah. Deborah contacted us via WhatsUp a few days before our scheduled arrival, so we could discuss the details regarding the check-in and the exact location of the villa. She showed us the villa itself on arrival and shared a few tips for our stay. The location of the villa is imo really great. Not far away from the nearest house, but still offering a huge portion of privacy. Chianacce is small village. Despite the fact that the villa offer privacy and its located nearly outside of the village, it's still within walking distance (approx 300m) to the local market where you can easily buy everything you need. Chianacce offers also a small bar (bar Tabachi) which is located approx 1km from the villa but it's a nice traditional bar offering great coffee, croissants and other goods as well. The villa itself is nice and offers large, spacious rooms – including a service room with a washing machine. On the other hand, I have to say that some furniture and equipment is outdated and the overall cleanness should be on a higher level. Otherwise, the stay at the villa was relaxing and we had a really great time there. We used the outside grill, spent every night drinking wine in the garden and had fun at the pool. Just be aware of mosquitos – these are problems in the whole area. We also brought bicycles and I really recommend that to all cycling fans as the region is really great for bike trips (even the fact that the road conditions are not the best – the panorama views will easily overcome it. We have communicated our recommendations to the manager and I hope that they will solve the main issues before the start of the next season. We will definitely love to get back someday in the future.
