The house in Poggio Nardini was a nice and clean house. Very near Florence (can be reached within half an hour by car). Poggio Nardini is a small Agriturismo with 7 appartments who all look nice and authentic. The beds were very well, but the kitchen and bathroom a bit older.
The only thing is that the three older sisters who run the place are very 'present'. For example, our children can swim very well (Dutch 'C diploma'), but weren't allowed to swim on their own in the pool, although we explained it to the sisters. We also found that the owners were a bit pushy with the weekly dinner on thursday. It didn't feel as if it was your own choice.
But over all we had a nice holiday in beautiful Tuscany.

What a beautiful villa and very friendly owners. There is everything you might need upon arrival to from a bottle of water to breakfast croissants! Shower room spacious and even a hair dryer provided ladies! House is in splendid order and the views breathtaking. The private pool is wonderful along with outside shower and BBQ. I would thoroughly recommend Casa Simona for a little private getaway. Close to San Gimignano and easy drive to Pisa/Siena/Volterra/Monteriggiano/Lucca. We would like to return in the summer.

My Family and I just returned from Siena and were fortunate enough to stay at the Villa Caprera. We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful apartment and the hospitality of the Bencini family. The Villa is a very nice marriage of the old and new. The place is fully renovated and accommodated 5 very comfortably. Everything has been lovingly renovated by the family's architect daughter. We stayed in the tower room which was beautiful albeit a little noisy at first light due to the birds but some ear plugs solved that problem. The owner's are on premises and are such kind people. Danielle baked us a cake and brought us fresh eggs and her husband Mario even offered to drive us into town the first night since we didn't have our rental car until the next day. It was just a wonderful, welcoming experience and we are very thankful for the memories. Extras: views of Siena, there is a small market right down the street, a small garden area with a grill, and Ilda the very friendly Nonna who will speak to you in Italian no matter if you understand or not. Negatives: nothing really, some low hallway ceilings so watch your head when heading to the bathroom. John N.- Washington, DC

Wir waren in der letzten Aprilwoche bis zum 05. Mai in Lam Moraia und hatten bis auf zwei Regentage schon richtiges Sommerwetter, dann ist es dort wunderbar ruhig und landschaftlich sehr reizvoll. Die Hausmeisterin war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Ferienanlage liegt günstig für Ausflüge in die historisch bedeutsamen Orte wie Siena, Florenz usw. Für das nächste Mal würde ich mir Wünschen, dass zu dieser Jahreszeit bei Regen die Heizung in Betrieb wäre, da es doch recht kühl und vor allen Dingen feucht und klamm in der Wohnung ist. I was a little concerned booking a villa for 12 people site unseen, but once we arrived, I knew it was destiny. All were delighted with the accommodations. The residence was immaculate and the rooms were very comfortable. The pride taken in the property was apparent by the frequent owner and caretaker visits, but never intrusive. The hospitality and warmth of the residence was only surpassed by that of Rosado and family. The location was perfect for trips to Siena, Florence, Assisi, Perugia and Cortona, all of which we did along with wine tasting in the area. The local supermarket was a favorite destination, and could we ever forget the delicious meal prepared by Chef Barbara, certainly a night to remember. We cannot wait to return in the future!!
