The villa was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The proximity to Cortona was a bit farther than expected. It's a good 15 minutes drive into town, I was under the impression that it was about a 15 minute walk into town. Other than that, it was a wonderful retreat. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking.

This Villa Nel Guasto exceeded my expectations! It was clean and well maintained; it was absolutely beautiful! The Villa offered plenty of room for the four of us! It is located in a private, more rural area that allowed for peace and quiet, but ideal to so many tourist locations such as Lucca, Pisa, Florence and a short drive to the coastal areas. It was even a good day trip from Montepulciano and Cortona! Restaurants and a grocery store is within 20 minutes. I would definitely stay again...and wish I could live there permanently! I would also highly recommend hiring a chef for one night to use the outdoor pizza oven - it added a perfect touch to an absolutely amazing vacation! Don't hesitate...this is it...you've arrived in paradise!

Our 9-member family had an unforgettable visit in May 2015. We booked Villa Iris as our first villa stay in Italy based largely on the description and villa photos on its website. Rarely in life does the actual experience exceed one’s expectation, but this proved to be the case with Villa Iris. The villa and setting in the Tuscan countryside were magnificent and owners, Gabriele and Lucia, made sure we had an enjoyable and hassle-free stay. They were extremely responsive to our needs. We were three generations who took full advantage of the beautiful pool, cooking facilities, expansive property and recreational resources. Each day we found ourselves giggling in delight at the villa. The image of my first morning stands out as I recall opening the window in my bedroom to the sound of a rooster crowing and seeing the meticulously maintained yard, swimming pool and vernaccia vineyards surrounding the villa. The location near San Gimignano is a real advantage and Siena is a short drive. We visited regional markets to purchase fresh produce, fruit and food for a few memorable group dinners enjoyed at the outside (under protection) dining table while we watched the sunset behind San Gimignano. We have plans to return to extend our lovefest with Villa Iris.

We loved it. We had two families, with three people each. The 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, were perfect for us. Our only complaint is that it is difficult to find. The directions need to be improved and more signs would be helpful. Other than that, the grounds are beautiful and the apartment was very comfortable. Everyone we dealt with was great.

Very lovely place to stay. We stayed with 7 friends for a week. Excellent. Very lovely people. Also the diner who was organised by the owners, was perfect.
